Best screw for the hardi backer board that I have found.
Local Lowe's store quit carrying them, so was glad after contacting the Manufacture that they were still available from them on Amazon. Much bigger container than Lowe's sold but not that big of a problem.

These well engineered screws are the best I have found and I have been using them in my tiled shower building projects for a few years now. The screw head is large and countersinks easily into the cement board, making for a secure application. The coating is a very effective waterproofing and the bright color makes it easy to spot any missed fastening spots. What's more the plastic container is well made and useful for storing other things after all the screws are used up. All in all another great product from Phillips Fasteners.

I gave these screws four stars because of their design. They have a very flat head with raised grips on the shank just under the head to help it hold in the cement board. I knocked off one star because not all screws embedded fully in the Hardiebacker cement board that I was using in a ceiling application and some screws stripped. Now that being said, I am just a do-it-yourselfer that may not have been using the proper techniques so it could have been user error. Overall these screws seemed to have excellent build quality and design and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic screws! These sink in nice without striping. Comes with two bits under the label. I think these will be discontinued, replaced by Phillips PLUS with the blue bits. So if you are a fan of these which are tried and true, its time to stock up now.

I'm a contractor who uses these screws religiously with cement board. The head is much larger than other cement board screws which improves their grip. Better grip means no coming back for cracked grout later on, and happier customers as well. I order these from the website when needed, but have 20 boxes in storage just in case something comes up.
